Wirksworth Big Book Day 2023 is almost here!!

Saturday the 22nd of April 10am until 4pm

A lovely indoor book fair full of local authors including cookery, childrens authors, new and second hand books, vintage and lots more.

Storytelling in the nations biggest railway book shop at the Ecclesbourne Valley Railway, right here in Wirksworth, outdoor stalls in the Memorial gardens, great coffee and street food, ukuleles at 11am, t'owd man border Morris at 11am.

Meet Sarah Daniels author of "Welcome to the Arcadia" in Wirksworth library at 12 noon.

Join Rob at the Feather Star (in the Red Lion Hotel) for the Poetry Slam at 1pm onwards , join in if you like or listen and laugh along with a pint by the fire and some bar food or buy vinyl !!

Meet Gila Archer the yoga guru in the Memorial hall and Check out her new book or discuss yoga, great for beginners or even experienced fans.

So see around our beautiful little town, full of independent shops, restaurants and pubs, don't forget the amazing collection of vinyl at Red Brick Retro opposite the cinema on North End.

Last but not least is Rob Stamped, "The Mad Bard of Middleton", terrorising the locals and visitors alike with his poetry and witty banter.

Join Alyson Horton and have a go at book folding in the Memorial hall, great for children and adults for just a couple of pounds with Alyson to help you along – or just stock up on books !!
