Local people can again jog into the new year by taking part in family friendly events at four fabulous Derbyshire Dales locations.
The fun starts in Matlock’s Hall Leys Park for a 3k "walk, jog, wheel, run" event on Saturday 21 January.
Derbyshire Dales District Council's Sports Development Team are repeating a successful series of 3k events they staged at the start of 2022.
The Matlock run will be followed by similar events on the High Peak Trail above Wirksworth on 11 February, Bakewell’s Rutland Recreation Ground on 11 March and Ashbourne Park on 5 April.
There’s a small entry fee of £3 (£10 per family) and participants can sign up now at www.derbyshiredales.gov.uk/funrun
The District Council's Community Development Manager, Becky Cummins, said: "Exercise doesn’t have to be boring – and what better than to start 2023 by getting out into some of the Derbyshire Dales’ beautiful parks and green spaces.
“These 3k events were really popular last year and this is another opportunity for all ages and abilities to get outside and get active with family and friends.”
