Soroptimists worldwide support women and girls, locally , nationally and internationally.
The March meeting was held at the Cavendish Golf Club where members learnt more of the work of Crossroads, which they support long- term.
The next meeting will be the AGM, when President Elizabeth Blagbrough wiill retire from Office, and Mary Cooke will take her place. New members are always welcome, and any women who feel that they might like to join, may find out more on our Buxton Soroptimists website. Normally potential members are invited to attend a Business Meeting and a Dinner meeting as a guest of the club, before embarking on membership. The next big event that the club will support is the Buxton Garden Trail, on 22nd nd 23rd June 2024. tickets avalable from the Pump Room, Buxton Brewery, Poole's cavern, Green Man Gallery. The ticket allows one adult access to all gardens for £5. Children go free. The ticket is valid on either or both days. All proceeds go to Buxton Mountain Rescue and the local Air Ambulance.
