Follow the fabulous garden trail around the picturesque and very historic village of Winster to discover stunning secret gardens set in glorious Peak District scenery. Gardeners are currently busy cultivating their blooms in anticipation of them attaining perfection for Secret Gardens weekend. The village comes alive as the event takes place over the weekend of 15th and 16th July 1.30pm to 5.30pm with over 20 gardens open each day including some unique new gardens for 2023 which we are very excited about. Many of the gardens which will be on show for the weekend are truly secret, hidden in walled courtyards and off of secluded alleyways.
Attractions over the weekend include plant and craft sales, children’s ‘Gnome Hunt’, the ‘Winster Millennium Tapestry’, live jazz, and a variety of refreshments including cream teas, licenced beverages, homemade desserts and ice creams. Many gardens are dog friendly and accessible gardens are highlighted.
