The pupils at Rowsley CE Primary School enjoyed a visit from Leanne Town, Derbyshire Education Officer at Severn Trent Water this month. Using a variety of props and willing volunteers, Leanne demonstrated the water cycle, explained how water is made safe to drink, and encouraged discussion about how water can be preserved to protect the environment. Deputy Headteacher Claire Hewitt said, “This was an engaging and interactive session for the children, which met our science curriculum objectives and also demonstrated to the children how their actions can preserve water to benefit the whole community. Thank you to Leanne at Severn Trent for delivering an interesting session today”.
