The National Garden Scheme (NGS) raises millions of pounds for charities including Macmillan Cancer Support, Marie Curie, and Hospice UK. This year, two gardens in the lovely hillside village of Stanton-in-Peak are taking part in the scheme.
2 Haddon View has water lilies, herbaceous borders, wildlife ponds, cacti and koi carp. Tea, coffee and home-made cakes will be on sale.
Woodend Cottage has unique roadside architectural features and a ‘pop-up’ pub serving draught local beer.
Last year our two gardens raised over £1,400 for the NGS charities. Why not come along and enjoy the gardens, have some tea and cakes or a beer, and help raise funds for such good causes? £5 for adult admission, free for children.
