MATLOCK MUSIC PRESENTS LIVE MUSIC IN THE DALES VIENNA MOZART TRIO

Matlock Music Society continues its exciting 2023/24 season with a concert on Friday 15th March given by the internationally acclaimed Vienna Mozart Trio as part of their 2024 UK tour.

Since its foundation in 1991, the Trio has performed in renowned concert halls throughout Europe and Asia, including the Wigmore hall in London, the Concertgebouw Rotterdam and the Shanghai Concert Hall. The ensemble has also taken part in countless music festivals around the world and since 2012 has organised and directed its own international music festival in Vienna.

The trio comprises pianist Irina Auner, who studied at the St. Petersburg Conservatory, violinist Daniel Auner, a prize winning soloist as well as a chamber musician and cellist Diethard Auner, who studied at the Vienna Academy and Conservatory and the St. Petersburg Conservatory. Being independent of any orchestral contracts, they achieve a musically free and unconventional interpretation of utmost intensity and consider it their vocation to convey music as a spontaneous and original experience.

Their programme will include Mozart’s Piano Trio in G Major K564, Robert Schumann’s Fantasy Pieces Op. 88 and Dvořák’s Piano Trio in B flat Major Op. 21.

Do come and join us for what promises to be an exciting evening of live, first-class music-making.

Details of the full season are given on the society’s website.

The concert is on Friday 15th March at the Wheeldon Hall, Highfields School, Lumsdale, off the Chesterfield Road, Matlock, DE4 5NA starting at 7.30pm. Tickets at £15 will be available at the door.
