Help Needed for Our Ancient Church

In July the Friends of Bakewell Parish Church held an Open Meeting to discuss the way forward. Since 2006 the Friends has raised £85,000 to support various projects, such as the roof appeal, new boilers and most recently the restoration of the organ.

There is much goodwill towards the church, and there are people who will volunteer to help with events. We are now looking for additional Trustees and most importantly a new Chair, who can offer leadership and a vision of how to take this charity forward in the next twenty years. As the registered charity is independent from the church, it enables people to volunteer and act as trustees to support fundraising for the love of the heritage, without feeling they have to be a practising Christian or a member of the congregation.
