The speaker at the club meeting on 29th November was Heather Thomas, the founder of the locally based charity which supports and delivers projects to help the Rwandan people. She described how support in terms of farm animals, construction tools, sewing machines etc. have been provided to small rural communities across Rwanda. Projects to build and help set up health centres have been delivered. The club have since made a donation of £500 to the charity.

Another New Member
Club members were pleased to induct and welcome Nellie Harvey as a new member at the evening meeting on 29th November. Nellie who hails from Colombia has recently moved back to Bakewell. She is an accountant and businesswoman and has an honours degree in biomolecular science, focusing on drug development.
