The Friends of Bakewell Parish Church and the Bakewell Old House Museum are pleased to announce that they are to welcome Fiori Musicali and His Majestys Sagbutts and Cornetts to perform their” 12 Days of Christmas” concert in All Saints’ Parish Church at 7.30pm on Monday, 19 December 2022
The concert will be preceded by a drinks reception at the Old House museum from 6-7pm.
Fiori Musicali, led by director, Penelope Rapson, is one of the UK’s leading providers of classical and early music concerts outside London and they have a reputation for bringing alive the best of renaissance, baroque and classical music.
The original His Majestys Sagbutts and Cornetts was founded in 1516. Its modern incarnation is a group of virtuoso wind players specialising in 16th and 17th century music. They play in authentic style on original instruments.
This concert will feature early festive music from Italy, England and Portugal.
Tickets for both the reception and the concert are £30 and for the concert alone are £20 (reserved seats in the front three rows £25) and are available online, fobpc.org, from The Little Vagabond bookshop,(formerly Maxwells), the Medway Centre, the museum and from Bakewell parish church (Dot Bushen- 01629 814496/07752 674719).
