Take on the world’s shortest sponsored walk in aid of your local hospice
Local daredevils are being invited to walk over burning hot embers, in the name of charity.
Blythe House Hospicecare and Helen’s Trust is hosting a sponsored fire walk and family fun evening on Thursday 6th July, to raise vital funds for local hospice patient care.
The fire walk is set to take place the newly-renovated Bull’i’th’Thorn, on the Ashbourne Road in Hurdlow, where there’ll also be family activities, face painting, a barbecue and al fresco pizza oven, for participants and spectators to enjoy.
Rebecca Gregory, fundraising manager at Blythe House and Helen’s Trust, said: ‘Could you take on the hot and fiery challenge of the world’s shortest sponsored walk? Absolutely no level of fitness is necessary for this super short walk – you’ll just need grit, determination and focus.
‘It’s set to be an exhilarating evening, so why not get together with colleagues as a great team building experience, or your family and friends, to help your local hospice charity. All the money raised will support families who are affected by life-limiting illness or the death of a loved one.’
If you’d like to take on the fire walking challenge, and commit to raising £100 for local hospice care, please contact the hospice fundraising team on 01298 384 105 or email: events@blythehouse.co.uk
