Don't Miss Bakewell Repair Cafe Saturday 30th November

The next Repair Cafe will be held in the Methodist Church Hall, Matlock Street, Bakewell on Saturday 30th November from 10am until 1pm. The Repair Cafe is run by the Rotary Club of Bakewell as part of our grass roots level interaction serving the community. Our usual cast of characters will be in attendance repairing items from vacumn cleaners and lamps, to sewing machines and hedge cutters. The feedback from the September event was brilliant and people were bringing in beloved cardigans, broken chair pads, necklaces, even a nail gun which we were able to send home ready to use again. It is run entirely by volunteers who simply wish to help reduce, reuse and recycle items which would otherwise be sent to landfill and you can learn alot from their various expertise. We merely ask for a donation towards running costs and you can purchase a very reasonably priced cup of tea and a biscuit while you wait. Last repairs will be taken at 12.30pm to give our volunteers a chance to finish up before 1pm.

For further details please call Margie on 01629 813638 or just come along and have a look at what's going on. If you have skills to share you could also enquire about helping out.

Break the cycle of over consumption and consumerist mentality while you have fun with other people in the local community.
