Archaeology Scout expert, Morgause Lomas from north of Bakewell dodged the showers to turn out a dry sunshine July archaeology dig weekend at Ripley Derbyshire with support of a strong archaeology team from across the county. The weekend event hosted cubs and scouts region wide. The young next generation working towards their unique Derbyshire Archaeological badge. VIP’s attending included Derbyshire Lord Lieutenant Elizabeth Fothergill CBE who toured the various dig areas, Ceramics and metals were excavated.
