DARLEY DALE TOWN COUNCIL LITTER PICK

On Saturday 22nd April, Darley Dale Town Council and a raft of volunteers pulled together to litter pick in Darley Dale for Earth Day.

Residents were asked in advance which locations they felt needed a bit of a tidy up and the volunteers, ready with their litter pickers and pink sacks took to the streets to help target these areas.

Mayor Dave Oakley said ‘I am really grateful to the dedicated group of volunteers who came out on the day to help tidy up the town. It was really good to see so many people turn up and there was quite an age range, highlighting that those of all ages are happy to get stuck in to help keep Darley Dale tidy. We hope to do more litter picks in the future, ideally once a month or at least one every two months.”

Please contact townclerk@darleydale.gov.uk or call 01629 735248 if you would like to be part in any future litter picks around Darley Dale.
