Castleton's Secret Gardens is an annual event when enthusiastic gardeners open their private plots to visitors for just 2 days in June. The gardens are all within easy walking distance of the village centre and have lovely views of Castleton and its surroundings from different aspects. It is usually well supported and we have visitors from all over the world. Refreshments are sold in the Village Hall and plants and hand thrown pottery are sold from there as well. The event raises money for St Edmund's Church and village organisations.
This year the gardens will be open on Saturday 24 June and Sunday 25 June, from 11am to 4.30pm each day. Entry is £5 per adult, accompanied children under 16 are free. Programmes (which cover both days) and map are available from Castleton Visitor Centre, Castleton Post Office, Peveril Stores and any participating garden.
