Hints for Increasing Rotary membership and retaining members.

Rotary Bakewell was delighted to welcome guest speaker Jayne Hopkins from Long Eaton Rotary who gave a very inspiring, informative and highly entertaining presentation giving much food for thought to the club in its current growth plans. Jayne’s day job is in media and PR where her husband Paul (who is a long-standing Long Eaton Rotarian) takes on the role of Roy Orbison in the Traveling Wilburys Experience tribute show which tours widely. www.traveling wilburystribute.co.uk/

We have several new members lined up in the near future – and always looking for more to join our ranks - for more details please contact Membership secretary Ann Esders at aesders@aol.com or (M) 07967 665580 – or download a brochure from our website at www.rotary-ribi.org/clubs/page.php?PgID=247128&ClubID=1286

Bakewell Rotary – raising funds for the Turkey/Syria Earthquake

We raised over £800 for local Rotary charity AquaBox to provide their world-renowned clean water supply equipment to the victims of the tragic earthquake which had claimed in excess of 50,000 by end-February. The collections over two days mid-February were at the Aldi Store in Bakewell with many thanks to the store management.
